Daniel Bagley After School Class: OPEN ART STUDIO

Join Ms. McNeer in a structured art studio environment for self-directed learning. Following demonstrations of available materials, student artists advance their individual artist processes through exploration and discovery, skill development and artmaking, and revision. This is a structured class for young artists who want artistic independence and are eager to try new tools and techniques.

Now more than ever, children and adolescents need the opportunity to create. The practice of exploring art brings a sense of wonder, reduces stress, and gives voice and agency through self-expression.

EASEL classes provide an engaging environment that embraces the intersection of art and social emotional learning. Participants experiment with visual art media and techniques in a structured, calming creative flow that deepens attention and opens the imagination.

Creative sessions use strategies that increase:

  • flexibility

  • patience

  • perseverance

  • organization

  • planning skills

  • time management

My focus is on supporting the whole person by drawing on their strengths to foster growth. I offer individual and group sessions, educational consulting and professional development services.
